Volunteer program
Volunteer program
The Sawa’s Volunteers Program aims to :
1. Training female volunteers to work on the Hotline Program.
2. Training male & female volunteers to work on the Educational Program.
As a first step, each volunteer has to fill a questioner of the chosen project in Sawa, which exams his / her suitability to the program. Then he/ she is invited to an interview with the program trainers to make the decision.
Hotline Project volunteers
These project tends to train only female volunteers, from the age of 21. Every training course lasts for three months (around 56 hours). Each of the participants at the training course commit to volunteering at Sawa for the designated volunteering of three hours a week, a period of one year.
Educational Program volunteers
These project tends to train male & female volunteers, Every training course lasts for three months (around 80 hours). Each of the participants at the training course commit to volunteering at Sawa for the designated volunteering of three hours a week, a period of one year.
Each volunteer in Sawa’s project who once completing the requirement of the course become members of Sawa’s volunteers’ forum.
Sawa’s Volunteers’ Forum
The Forum of the volunteers takes place in Sawa once a month. Each volunteer is asked to participate as apart of his commitment to Sawa’s program, beside his/her participation in a counseling group once a month.
The goal of the Forum is to bring up different subjects to be discussed in order to enrich and give wider information and ideas to Sawa’s volunteers.
